Raw Material


Primary Alloy Steels

45# steel: Offers good comprehensive mechanical properties, suitable for general-duty applications where balanced strength and toughness are required.

40Cr steel: After quenching and tempering, it achieves higher strength and toughness, making it ideal for components bearing moderate loads.

42CrMo steel: Boasts superior strength, hardenability, fatigue resistance, and wear resistance. It is the preferred material for heavy-duty steel pin shafts used in high-load, high-impact environments like mining and large-scale construction.

All raw materials come with quality certification documents, and strict inspections (including spectral analysis and hardness testing) are conducted to ensure chemical composition and mechanical properties meet industry standards.


Surface Treatment Materials

Chromate: Used in hard chrome plating, it forms a hard, smooth chrome layer on the pin’s surface, enhancing wear resistance and corrosion resistance.

Alkaline oxidizing liquid: Employed in blackening treatment, it creates a black oxide film that provides rust protection and improves the pin’s appearance.

Production


Pre-Processing

Raw material preparation: High-quality steel is purchased and cut into appropriate billet sizes using sawing machines, with reserved margins for subsequent processing.

Material inspection: Rigorous quality checks (spectral analysis, hardness testing) are performed to ensure raw materials meet specifications.


Machining Stages

Rough processing: Forged blanks are rough-turned on lathes to shape the outer circle and end face, removing most excess material and leaving a 0.5mm-1mm margin for fine processing.

Fine processing: High-precision lathes and grinders are used for fine turning and grinding to achieve the required dimensional accuracy. Drilling machines create holes at specified locations, ensuring position and size precision.


Heat Treatment

Quenching: The machined pin is heated to 850℃-880℃, held at temperature, and quickly cooled in oil or water to form a martensite structure, enhancing hardness and strength.

Tempering: Post-quenching, the pin is tempered at 550℃-650℃, held, and slowly cooled to eliminate internal stress, stabilize the structure, and improve toughness.


Surface Finishing

Hard chrome plating: After degreasing and rust removal, the pin is placed in a chrome plating tank to form a protective chrome layer.

Blackening/phosphating: Optional treatments (based on customer needs) form a rust-resistant protective film using alkaline oxidizing solution (blackening) or phosphating solution (phosphating).
